Sitting at the Arade River’s mouth, bordered by steeps cliffs and beaches, is the prettiest village in the Algarve. Ferragudo is a traditional fishing village with whitewashed cottages, flowers, hillside streets, and cute boats. The peacefulness and old-world charm of Ferragudo are perfectly preserved, making it the perfect Portuguese getaway.

Planning to flop?
If your planning more 'pool, nap, snack, repeat' —excellent choice. Feel free to park yourself by the pool with a good book, or head to the beach which is a 5-10 minute walk from Vila Castello/the village.
Aaron is banned from sunbathing pre-wedding due to his beautiful complexion and a dangerously high risk of looking like a lobster in the photos—but post-wedding, we’ll be right there beside you, factor 50 in hand.
Novo Mundo - aka. 'Jo's'
Our absolute favourite. The most delicious food & a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Jo is a brilliant host & amazing human. Our recommendations are the monkfish kebab and Portuguese steak. We recommend you go easy on lunch — you will not leave hungry!
O'Barril
A family-run favourite that’s recently had a fresh revamp. The current owner's father used to make gravy for Lucy to add to Alexander's baby food , and we’ve been coming as a family ever since. Local flavours, and proper Portuguese hospitality.
Sikandar
Indian cuisine, great food, lovely people & located right in the square .
Delizie
Tiny Italian restaurant - probably one of the oldest restaurants in the village. Garlic bread is a must.
TerraCotta
Italian restaurant where we celebrated our engagement.
A Ria
Classic Portuguese food & amazing seafood. We recommend their Cataplana - Portuguese seafood stew.
Restaurante Praia Grande
Perfect spot for a Coffee, lunch & a ice cream after a walk on the beach.
Club Nau
Right on the beach, great food and a fantastic sushi menu & delicious cocktails.
